A Model Business Model
The Gruber Beckett chartered accountants franchise has a unique franchising model. Franchisees appoint a principle from their existing staff, normally the team leader, or from an external organisation. When a franchise starts, a company is set up to establish the franchisee. 50% of this company is owned by the principle, and 50% is owned by either principles of Gruber Beckett. The company then issues 100 shares at $1 each which are evenly acquired by the franchisee’s principle and the owner’s principles at the part value of $1 ($50 each).
Gruber Beckett gives the franchisee market remuneration, plus 60% of the improvement in profit from the franchise commencement. Franchisees will also receive an equity entitlement based on 60% of the increased turnover for each financial year as long as the stay with the Gruber Beckett for an additional 3 years.
